Our Story

Have you ever needed a little something special — or just maybe a "better" denim skirt in a hurry? Suddenly reality strikes and you realize there isn't a potential maxi skirt or dress within 100 miles.
Well, we've been there. We lived there.
In July 2018, we lost everything when our home burned. I couldn't believe how hard it was to quickly find enough clothing to "cover" my daughter and I in the middle of summer. We had to travel 100 miles one way to find a few items that we could make work until we could do better.
In 2023, we decided to change that. Modest and Devoted Designs was born of a mother's and daughter's desire to obtain, promote, provide and share access to clothing that we believe is fashionable, comfortable and fitting of a woman professing Godliness.
Besides, who doesn't love a cute skirt or dress to make you feel ultra feminine?
Who We Are
Modest and Devoted Designs is a women-owned small business based in Mississippi. Proprietrixes Stephanie and Abby Smith coordinate business from home with the support and help of our husband/father and son/brother. These men behind the scenes make our pop-up events much more convenient and doable.

What We Offer
It is our plan and prayer to create a resource for maxi length dresses and maxi length skirts in a variety of styles and designs including denim jean skirts; cotton, knit and poly options that can be dressy or casual. We offer a wide selection of modest and stylish tops ranging from dressy blouses suitable for church or any other dress-up occasion to everyday, casual tops. Our layer essentials encompass layering dresses, cropped layering tees, sleeveless tops and a whole array of 3/4 and long sleeve styles.
